From the boat landing in the park you can join the canoe trail maintained by the park and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Visitors can bring their own canoes or kayaks or rent them from the concession stand on the Wisconsin Ridge Campground. And if you’ve got business in nearby Prairie du Chien, don’t miss the chance to pull off at the Wisconsin River for a shore-level look at the Wisconsin.

Though Wyalusing State Park has one of the best views around, it’s far more than just an overlook. It’s got trails that will make your heart race (for more reasons than one), access to the Mississippi River, caves, campgrounds and even a tennis court.
But that overlook is really something.
