Boats and canoes can be rented at the concession stand at Cox Hollow Lake from Memorial Day until Labor Day. Both lakes have landing ramps, but only electric motors are permitted.

With two lakes, several hiking trails and views majestic and sublime, Governor Dodge State Park not only has something for everyone, it is a place for all seasons. A trip in late August will be rich in greens and yellows, while the fields around Dodgeville will burst with corn and beans and hay.
